Coty Pinckney
Coty Pinckney grew up in suburban Washington, DC, and attended Davidson College as an undergraduate. After teaching high school in Kenya, he studied the economics of poor countries at Stanford, earning a doctorate. Coty married Beth DuBose - a fellow Davidson alum - in 1979, and returned to Kenya in 1981 for three years. During this time, God used serious marriage problems to humble Coty and Beth, to bring them to their knees in seeing their own sinfulness and desperate need of God’s saving and sustaining grace.

Fred Balbuena
Fred was born and raised in a small island in the Philippines. He believed the Gospel and committed his life to Christ at the age of 14. He believed that, “All have sinned and fall short (totally) of the glory of God” (Rom 6:23), and the wages of sin is death (6:23). He knew he was lost. He was not naturally seeking for the things of God and his heart was only inclined to the things of the world.
